Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
OH&S & Environmental Commitment
EFMS maintains an outstanding safety record and is deeply committed to providing a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace for all team members. Our safety framework is built on fully documented policies and procedures, with training commencing from day one of induction and continuing through toolbox talks, formal sessions, newsletters, safety bulletins, employee handbooks, memos, and ongoing communications.
We believe our people are our greatest asset—and their safety is non-negotiable. Every EFMS team member is empowered as a Risk Manager, with shared responsibility for maintaining a safe work environment.
Our safety governance includes:
- A qualified Workplace Health and Safety Officer (WHSO) overseeing a dedicated Safety Committee made up of elected site representatives
- Regular safety audits and feedback loops from site reps to the central committee for analysis and action
- A Workplace Rehabilitation Coordinator and approved return-to-work procedures
comprehensive WHS Manual detailing Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all cleaning tasks, reviewed regularly by our WHSO
- Site-specific risk assessments conducted prior to contract commencement, with risks eliminated or mitigated
- Tailored safety instructions and ongoing training for each site
EFMS uses a centralised digital system to manage:
SDS registers
Permit and licence tracking (including VISAs, driver licences, White Cards)
Automated alerts for expiry dates
Our incident management protocols are robust:
- All personnel are trained to report incidents and near-misses
- Supervisors are trained in incident investigation
- Incidents are logged in our central database and reviewed at monthly management meetings
- Our WHSO is authorised to take immediate action to safeguard all stakeholders
We handle and store all chemicals with strict adherence to safety standards. EFMS treats its major supplier as a strategic partner, with expert-led training on chemical and equipment handling delivered on-site. Regular audits ensure best-practice performance across all locations.
-Documentation including training records, SOPs, risk assessments, investigation reports, meeting minutes, bulletins, and communications are available upon request to demonstrate our unwavering commitment to safety.
